How does linen compare to cotton sateen?

Cotton sateen feels smooth and slightly cool with a soft sheen. Linen has a more natural, lived-in texture, breathes well across the seasons and grows softer over time rather than wearing flat. It is matte where sateen is glossy.

How do I care for linen?

Wash on a gentle cycle in cool to warm water with a mild detergent. Skip the fabric softener, and line dry or tumble dry low. A relaxed, lived-in look is part of linen's character, so ironing is optional.
