What makes it premium
Premium in the making, not the marketing
Luxury bedding, to us, is not loud. It is 100% flax linen, stonewashed in Portugal after sewing, with yarn spun in certified European mills. The result is softness you feel from the first night and a texture that only improves with age.
Quiet, considered, made in small batches: luxury measured in how it feels, not how it announces itself.
Quiet luxury
Considered, never loud
Luxury here rarely announces itself. Our colours are calm and easy to live with, the texture is natural rather than glossy, and nothing competes for attention in the room. It simply belongs there.
Linen softens with every wash and holds its character for years, so the bedding you choose now is the one you keep reaching for. Quiet, lasting, yours.
Cared for, made to last
Made slowly, made to stay
We make in small batches because care takes time. Each piece is cut, sewn and stonewashed with attention, then checked before it ever reaches your bed.
Linen rewards that patience. Given a gentle wash and the occasional line dry, it stays soft and intact season after season, becoming more yours the longer you live with it.

Good to know
What makes Malua linen premium?
It is 100% flax linen, with yarn spun in certified European mills, then sewn and stonewashed in Portugal in small batches. The quality comes from the fibre, the spinning and the finish, not from added shine or marketing.
Where is it made?
The bedding is sewn and stonewashed in Portugal, in small batches. The flax yarn is spun in certified European mills before the fabric is made up into our covers, sets and pillowcases.
Is it real linen?
Yes. Every piece is 100% flax linen, with nothing blended in. That is what gives it the natural texture, breathability and the way it softens further with each wash.
How does linen compare to cotton sateen?
Cotton sateen feels smooth and slightly cool with a soft sheen. Linen has a more natural, lived-in texture, breathes well across the seasons and grows softer over time rather than wearing flat. It is matte where sateen is glossy.
How do I care for linen?
- We recommend washing your linen before first use.
- Turn the piece inside out before washing.
- Wash in the machine at 40°C max, with a mild detergent. Skip bleach and fabric softener. Both damage linen fibres.
- Don't overload the drum. Linen likes room to move during a wash.
- Hang to dry. Shake first to reduce creasing. Or tumble dry on a gentle cycle, stopping before fully dry.
- You can iron if you prefer a crisper finish, though you'll lose the stonewashed, lived-in texture.
